It all started when…

Hi there visitor, it’s me; the artist! Welcome!

I grew up in Delaware among an artistic family with a reputation for being a little strange, and a prediction that I wouldn’t survive to adulthood. Since I do all things out of spite, I am still here and excited to share all of the art I create here on my little internet home! I now live in Baltimore, Maryland among the blue crabs and the bad drivers, and this area is pretty weird and wonderful.

Inspirations include: Nature, Music, Mythology, Witchcraft, Literature, and the human history of storytelling. A professional photographer also, I am obsessed with creative lighting and the way it plays through the world. The concept of my “brand” as an artist eludes me, but certainly interesting light play is consistent across projects, mediums and subjects.

I will never be the best artist but I will never stop improving and rising to my own challenges, and while I long to actually be satisfied with a piece I finish one day, I think that’s just part of the artistic experience. I love experimenting with techniques, from journeys and meditations to chase inspiration, to pulling pigments from the earth, to creating fanart from beloved series and music just for the serotonin. And wow do I wind up painting a lot of portraits!
